Balance

Tree on the pier

Balance rules every aspect of our lives.  Everything has an opposite

They teach us how to:~

  • Stretch and lengthen muscles
  • Coordinate muscles
  • Explore our centre of gravity
  • Improve the body’s function of the equilibrium receptors
  • Have good posture – centre weight over feet
  • Align ourselves,

We never know one without the other.

When we have trouble physically balancing, it could mean that something is out of whack in any aspect of our lives.  If you experience a clumsy day and feel ungraceful during practice it can be a sign that something is out of balance.

They teach us how to

  • Stretch and lengthen muscles
  • Coordinate muscles
  • Explore our centre of gravity
  • Improve the body’s function of the equilibrium receptors
  • Have good posture – centre weight over feet
  • Align ourselves,

Yoga could be considered a way of balancing external self and ego with the true self.  We are not trying to get rid of ego but to balance it.

Balances encourage stability, strength and flexibility.  We are going to explore the relationship between all three with a fun but challenging pose.

We will strengthen the ankles, legs and core.

Improve our stability, balance and posture.

Increase our flexibility

Relieve stress by having a positive impact on our physical and mental health.
